What about the rules ?
Nothing too serious. Just two or three small points along the following lines :
- Don't ask for or give personal details such as surnames, addresses, e-mails, telephone numbers, or business cards. This is because if you don't wish to see the person again after your meeting, it might be awkward if you have given him or her your personal details.
- Don't ask the person whether they want to see you again. Try not to be too impatient, for you will find out a few hours after your meeting. What sweet suspense !
- Don't ask questions of a sexual nature, and don't use obscene or aggressive language or say anything that might be interpreted as a threat or sexual harassment.
On a general level, remain courteous, respectful and kind. Politeness and respect for others are absolute must, or regrettably, we may be forced to exclude you from the evening.
